About the Library Director

Meet Parveen Karim, our library director.

Parveen Karim has been the library director for nearly 3 years. Before coming to the library, she worked at the Elma Early Childhood Center for a few months. She received her BA degree in English from Upper Iowa University in Fayette, IA in 2011. She previously attended Crestwood High School in Cresco, IA, graduating in 2008. At Crestwood, Parveen was involved in Media Club, which is a library-based "job" for which students can trade study halls. At UIU, Parveen worked at the Henderson-Wilder Library from August 2008-May 2009, June 2010-May 2011. She also worked in the Writing Center as a consultant for student papers.
