IWD is a state agency committed to providing employment services for individual job seekers through our IowaWORKS partnership. Employers and businesses can post jobs, hire veterans and apply for qualifying federal tax credits. IWD continually strives to improve processes and align the organization in such a way to provide effective, demand-driven products and services. IWD staff in Des Moines consists of administrative, labor services, workers’ compensation, labor market information, and the unemployment insurance services staff. The agency also maintains a statewide delivery system of 15 regional, 4 satellite, and 8 expansion offices to provide services to Iowans in communities demonstrating need.
NEICAC is a private, non-profit community action agency that began in 1965 and continues today to serve low-income individuals and families in the counties of Allamakee, Bremer, Chickasaw, Clayton, Fayette, Howard and Winneshiek. Our network connects individuals and families to approaches to help them succeed and includes Early Childhood Programs, Family Support Services, Stable and Affordable Housing, Budget Counseling, Public Transportation, Pregnancy Prevention and Health Education, Low Income Home Energy Assistance, Weatherization and Crisis Assistance.
